Trim the wick to 5mm before every burn.
Burn your candle for at least 2 hours - so the whole surface is melted - and no longer than 4 hours.
Don't leave a burning candle unattended - also, don't fall asleep while your candle is burning. It is really dangerous - and weird.
When there is around 10mm of wax remaining, it is time to stop using your candle. Burning your candle right down to the bottom can cause the glass to overheat.
